Who operates NV

Naturally Verified LLC operates a hair discovery and community platform centered on Black women. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@tyrajean.com.

Information you provide

We collect your email and authentication information to provide an account. Supabase handles password authentication. New members can enter NV immediately after signup. The welcome email is informational and does not need to be confirmed.

We also store your posts, captions, photos, videos, replies, likes, follows, saves, reports, blocked members, discovery preferences and hidden-post choices. Calendar dates, plan names, notes, and completion status are private to your account. Service providers process operational information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the service.

How we use information

We use information to run accounts, profiles, posting, replies, search, private saves, folders and planning; personalize discovery; prevent abuse; and respond to support requests. For You uses chosen interests, hair profiles, recent likes and discovery preferences, with room for fresh voices and unfamiliar styles. New is chronological. Follower counts do not determine reach. Explore style suggestions also use your recent likes and a limited record of watched, style-tagged videos. For signed-in members, we record up to 15 seconds per video per day while the video is playing and mostly visible; paused, background and seek time do not count. Suggestions use the last 30 days of activity. This viewing record is private, is not a public metric, and can be cleared under Explore → Interests & hidden posts → Reset video viewing history. Older records are removed when new viewing activity is recorded, or when the account is deleted. Chosen interests carry more weight than viewing activity, and discovery controls keep room for unfamiliar styles. We do not use private calendar notes or imported social activity.

Public posts and private profiles

Your profile starts private. Country or region is optional and self-selected; choosing one displays its flag beside your username, including on private profiles. You can change or remove it in My Hair. We do not infer it from GPS or your language. Sharing a public profile makes your selected profile picture, display name, username, bio, current style, optional hair type, Holy Grail, past styles, social links and published posts visible to visitors. A private profile still shows your username and bio to visitors. Your picture, social links, hair details and profile posts stay hidden, but published posts and replies remain visible to signed-in members. Signed-out visitors can see short previews of the three latest published posts on Home, including their associated media and author display names. A shared post link requires sign-in before the post or its media can be opened. Browsing full conversations, search results, replies and profile posts requires sign-in. A profile made public can still be viewed without an account. Signed-in members can find accounts in the Members directory, ordered by account creation date. Private accounts show only their username and a private-profile label; their display name, photo, social links and hair profile remain hidden. Opening a private profile shows its username and bio. Private accounts cannot be searched by their hidden display name. Blocking excludes accounts from each other’s directory results.

Your email, birthday, calendar, following/follower lists and counts, saved posts, and private hair interests are not displayed publicly. Operators and providers may access information as needed to operate, secure and support NV. Blocking filters content between signed-in accounts; it does not prevent someone from viewing public Home previews while signed out.

Photos, videos and moderation

Posts may contain up to three photos or one video of up to 15 seconds. Originals upload to private storage. NV processes photos and converts videos on its server, and strips embedded media metadata. Photos and videos are not automatically classified for explicit imagery. New text posts, captions, and replies publish without automated solicitation screening. Media is not sent to an outside AI service.

NV relies on member reports and moderation for prohibited solicitation and inappropriate text, photo, or video content. Report a post or reply using its report control, and use blocking when needed. Profile picture processing validates and resizes files.

Approved media is served through links that expire after about one minute. A previously issued link can remain usable until it expires after a post is removed, a profile is made private, or a block is applied. Copies saved by other people cannot be recalled.

Private activity notifications

Likes, replies and new followers can create an in-app notification visible only to its recipient. We store the member involved, notification type, related post or reply, and read status. You can mute categories in Activity. Self-interactions do not notify you; withdrawn interactions and blocked or unavailable content are filtered out. These are in-app notifications, not email or phone push alerts.

Service providers and outside links

Supabase provides authentication, database, storage and account-deletion services. Netlify hosts the web beta and runs its server-side photo and video processing. Resend delivers welcome and password-recovery emails. This policy is included in the NV web app. A separate privacy/support preview has been hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare. The beta is being tested before its wider release. Social links open outside platforms with their own privacy policies; NV does not import their contacts, followers or account activity.

Hair-company research

NV does not currently sell or export member information to hair companies. Research partnerships are a possible future service, not a condition of using free Community. Any program involving individual responses will need a separate explanation identifying the recipient, exact information, purpose, participant choices, retention and withdrawal terms before sharing begins. This policy does not enroll you in research or authorize future sales.

Your choices and requests

You can change profile sharing, edit optional profile details and social links, adjust discovery preferences, remove your posts, manage private saves, and block members. For access, correction, deletion or other privacy requests, email hello@tyrajean.com. We may verify ownership before fulfilling a request.

Account deletion and retention

In My Hair, open Delete account and confirm the permanent deletion. The service removes your uploaded files from NV storage before deleting your account and associated profile, authored content, private saves, calendar and relationships. If file cleanup fails, deletion stops so you can retry or contact support; some files may already have been removed.

Removing a post hides it from publication; it is not the same as deleting every stored copy. Original, processed, failed and unused uploads can remain in private storage until account deletion or a later cleanup process. Limited information may remain in provider backups or operational logs for their configured retention periods, or where required to resolve a security incident, dispute, or legal obligation. We retain such information only for those purposes and restrict access. Contact us for information about the retention settings in effect when you make a request. Account deletion cannot remove screenshots or copies another person has saved.

Ages 16 and up

NV is for people aged 16+. Birth dates and teen status remain private. No commercial research enrollment is active for adults or teens.

Changes

We will update this policy when practices change and provide required notice or choices before introducing a new use.
